Family First
We’re the Hillegas's, Brodie, Shelby, our little sidekick, Rowan; plus two dogs Harlee and Freya and we’re the family behind SWR Quality Meats LLC. What started as a simple desire to feed our family better has grown into a full-blown passion for raising honest, high-quality meat you can trust.
Brodie is the boots-on-the-ground. He’s out with the animals—rotating our cattle across lush pastures, moving chickens to fresh grass, and making sure every creature is cared for with intention and respect. His hands know every inch of this land, and every animal that grazes on it. What we do here isn’t factory farming. It’s stewardship.
Our ranch isn’t just a business. It’s our way of life. We believe in clean practices and the kind of transparency that lets you feel good about what’s on your plate. When you buy from us, you’re not just supporting a local farm, you’re becoming part of a story rooted in family, land, and a whole lot of hard work.
Thanks for being here. We’re honored to feed your family like we feed our own.
Regenerative Ranching for a Healthier Land
At SWR Quality Meats, we believe in working with nature, not against it. Before America was settled, millions of migrating bison shaped the Great Plains, enriching the soil and fostering a thriving ecosystem. Billions of birds followed the bison herds, breaking up their waste, eating the insects, and leaving behind nutrients essential for plant growth.
We attempt to mimic this natural cycle through regenerative grazing practices. Our cows and chickens rotationally graze to preserve native grasses, naturally enriching the land—just as nature intended. Native grasses, with roots reaching deep into the limestone beneath us, play a crucial role in water conservation. When allowed to grow, they act as a rain chain, guiding water into underground aquifers that sustain our rivers, drinking supplies, and local ecosystems.
By choosing our ranch for your protein needs, you're supporting a healthier environment, ensuring responsible land stewardship, and participating in something bigger—reviving the balance between agriculture and nature.
Thank you for considering being a part of this movement.
